The Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (WdKA) will host a two-day international conference on design education and business on June 5 and 6 2014. The conference is organized in collaboration with the Apeejay Education Society (AES) and Rotterdam Business School (RBS). Focusing on the overarching theme of the ‘creating pioneers’, the academy offers a program of international speakers, workshops and presentations on the following subjects: the changing 21st century professional practice of design and education, design education in general, the new WdKA curriculum, the new role of designers and educators, network society and cross-cultural collaboration and entrepreneurship in design and education.
